Tree Time Kid's Club is a rain or shine outdoor group. This session is aimed towards children aged 4-10 and their parents/carers.
At The Fox Guild - Nature Play the OT way our goals are to inspire a passion for free play in nature and to provide fun and social groups for children and their families.
Our programs are developed by an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about using nature as a therapeutic tool to help children develop the skills necessary for participating in daily life activities.
How can climbing rocks trees help a child to write? How can building teepees help a child to sit upright in a chair? How can rolling down a hill help a child move around the classroom? How can nature help a child participate in kinder and school to their best ability?
Welcome to Tree Time Kids Club where a very sneaky and skilled Occupational Therapist hides many developmental benefits in FUN BUSH PLAY! At tree time we facilitate free play and semi-structured activities in an environment rich in potential for pre/school skill development.
You may or may not be concerned with your child’s development and kinder/school participation. That is ok, all abilities are welcome at Tree Time. If you are concerned, Occupational Therapist, Michelle, is available on a consultative basis (no extra charge) to provide a specific goal directed activity plan.
Tree Time will also include activities to help develop 'bush skills'. These may include activities like map and compass reading, bush journal keeping, camp fire cooking and whittling.
Tree Time is a parents stay and play activity. Siblings are also welcome to stay and play (and maybe get muddy too!). There will be activities suitable for younger and older children. The Fox Guild runs family events and our philosophy is that all members of the family should share in the benefits of Vitamin N (nature).
Included in your term 4 membership is:
